Hello! My name is Morgan and I am a Reading Specialist/Educational Therapist. I have worked with children of various ages for over 12 years. I was a nanny for several years and have also worked as a preschool teacher. In 2011, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development. At the end of 2018, I completed my Master's degree in Education, with an emphasis on Reading and Language Arts. My program consisted of extensive research, developing lesson plans and new material, and implementing reading intervention with several students. I have a passion for teaching children and I love to watch them learn and grow. Reading is an essential part of our everyday lives, and it is a significant factor in a student's success in school. I want every child to learn to love reading and have the opportunity to be a strong reader.

Reading Specialist:

As a Reading Specialist, I work with struggling, beginner, and emergent readers in small groups or one on one intervention. I implement specific literacy assessments in order to understand your child's strengths and weaknesses. Using the assessment results, I will create lesson plans based on your child's needs. My focuses and experience include alphabet knowledge, phonics, writing, comprehension, and vocabulary/oral language. I work with preschool students, elementary students, and English language learners.

Educational Therapist/Executive Functioning Coach: 

As an Educational Therapist, I teach Executive Functioning strategies and techniques to students, specifically in organization, prioritization, task initiation, time management, study skills, breaking apart assignments, and other skills that students are expected to know but are typically not taught in school.
